Terms of Use

TrailsDirectory.com is a free directory for people looking for a trail to hike, ride or drive. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Personal use is welcome

You may read, print, save and share pages, maps and GPX files for your own trips, and link to any page from your own site. Search engines and AI search and answer tools may index pages and quote them with a link.

No bulk copying

You may not use scrapers, bots or scripts to copy trails, pages, photos or reviews in bulk, rebuild the directory or a large part of it elsewhere, or use its content to train AI models or build datasets for sale, without written permission. Do not ignore our robots.txt file or get around rate limits or blocks.

What we own

The page text, photos, visitor reviews we publish, and the way trails are selected, checked, combined and arranged are protected by copyright. Facts from public agencies and OpenStreetMap stay free for anyone to get from those sources. OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License.

Copies we find

We report copies of this site to their web host and to search engines.

No guarantee

Trail details come from public records and visitors and can be out of date or wrong. Rules, closures and conditions change, so check with the land manager before you go. Use the site at your own risk.

Your posts

When you add a photo, review or report you confirm it is yours, and you let us show it on the site.
